I worked for Gene and the other faculty in his department at ACC. He was always in good spirits and kind. I was sorry to see him leave the college, but he moved on to something he really wanted to do. Students have remarked that they learned much from him; I think that would have made him pleased.

Our condolences to the Fottrell Family. I had the pleasure of attending a number of Gene's classes while attending Atlantic Community College. Gene was another great mentor that helped me into my firefighting career. Rest easy Gene, through your teaching, experience and knowledge you had a big part in careers of many firefighter's and fire officer's in South Jersey. Lew Austin and Family
