Obituary for James E Price Jr.

James E Price Jr.
Price, James E., 74, of Pleasantville, passed away on December 27, 2016, after a courageous 16 year battle with cancer, at his home in Palm Coast, FL. Though his battle was tough, he fought to the very end and refused to give up - traits that will forever be instilled in his children and grandchildren.

Jim was known for his positive spirit, and ever-enduring bravery. His two favorite sayings were "TOUGHER THAN CANCER" and "ONE DAY AT A TIME" he lived these words until the day he returned Home.

Jim was a "jack of all trades." In his early years, he was employed by Thermac. He later achieved many career accomplishments at Harrah's Casino in Atlantic City, where he impacted the early years of the Atlantic City Casino Industry. Most recently, Jim retired from Stockton University, and continued his retirement in Florida, caring for his mother and brother in-law.

Over the years, Jim made friends with almost every person he met, however, family was most important to him. His family will forever remember his routine coffee and paper at the Absecon Bulkhead and Matanza Inlet (Florida). He also looked forward to dining at his favorite establishments where he always has a "special server."

Jim was predeceased by his parents, James and Edith Price; and his sisters, Edith Olsen (Hans) and Mary Welch (Jim).

Many friends, and especially his family will sadly miss him. He is survived by his children, Pam Price (Tim Sterling), Jim Price, Brad Price (Stacey), and Jessica Nava (Hugo). Jim idolized his grandchildren, Bradley, Grace, Luka, and Noah.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home, 1650 New Rd, in Northfield. A service will follow at 7:00 pm. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to American Cancer Society, Salvation Army, or St. Jude's Hospital.
