Smith Sr., Frank E. "Pete", 76, of Egg Harbor Township. born March 18, 1940 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday January 8, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife and devoted caretaker, Dee (Butcher) of 57 years; children, DeeDee (Doug) Kier of Simpsonville, SC; Smitty (Sandi) of Estell Manor and Tami (Bob) Spicer of Absecon; grandchildren Alex (Kayla) Kier of Columbia, SC and Kristi and Bobby Spicer of Absecon; grandpets, Molly and KiKi Kier, Maci Spicer and the critters of San Fran Farm; siblings, Irene McCauley, Janet Ireland, Shirley Moore and Spike Smith along with numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents David and Ruth (Conover); brothers George and David and sister Lois Ireland. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 27. Owned his own business, Pete Smith Heating and Cooling and worked for Pepsi Cola, where he was known as "Pepsi Pete". Pete loved his "toys" including quads, four-wheelers, motorcycles, campers, street rods and the Birthday Train. He loved playing his washtub, bass guitar and teaching his grandchildren how to play along with the family with their washboards spoons and mouth harp. A visitation of family and friends will be held at Adams-Perfect Funeral Home Northfield, NJ 10-11 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Friday January 13, 2017. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery Zion Road Egg Harbor Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation at www.donate.arthritis.org.
